NOCPIX THERMAL MONOCULAR LUMI L35R LRF
Nocpix LUMI L35R thermal monocular: 384×288 sensor with ≤18 mK NETD, 35 mm F0.9 objective lens, 1024×768 AMOLED display and 375 g. Laser rangefinder up to 800 m, ballistic calculation and detection up to 1800 m.
The Nocpix LUMI L35R thermal monocular adds a built-in laser rangefinder of up to 800 m to the LUMI L35: a 384×288 pixel sensor with ≤18 mK NETD, a 35 mm F0.9 objective lens and 4x to 16x magnification, in 147 mm and 375 g. It lets you observe and measure the distance to an animal or landmark without carrying a separate rangefinder. Like every LUMI, it runs on a replaceable 18650 battery, records photo and video with sound on 32 GB and is IP67 rated.
Features
- 384×288 sensor at 12 µm with ≤18 mK NETD: a sensor developed in-house by Nocpix, running at 50 Hz, with the Reality+ (R+) image algorithm, which reduces noise and draws more detail from the sensor. Low NETD helps to separate the animal from the background on damp or low-contrast nights.
- 35 mm F0.9 objective lens: 7.5° × 5.7° field of view (13 × 10 m at 100 m) and 4x to 16x magnification. According to the manufacturer, the F0.9 aperture lets in about 20% more light than an F1.0 lens. Detection range of 1800 m for a 1.7 × 0.5 m target.
- 0.39-inch AMOLED display at 1024×768: eyepiece with 25 mm eye relief, a 10 mm exit pupil and −5 to +5 dioptre adjustment. Red and green palettes are designed to reduce eye strain, the image hue can be warm or cool, and brightness, sharpness and contrast have 10 levels each.
- Zoom, PIP and stabilisation: digital zoom in 4 steps (4x, 8x, 12x, 16x), a PIP window showing the centre of the image at 2x, electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and Ultra-clear mode, which boosts contrast in rain or fog.
- Built-in laser rangefinder up to 800 m: Class 1 laser with continuous (CONT) or single (SGL) ranging and a distance unit chosen in the menu. When the rangefinder is on, electronic stabilisation is switched off by default.
- Ballistic calculation and N-LINK: 5 ammunition profiles, MOA or mil and cm or inch units; after a single measurement the device shows the recommended point of impact. N-LINK sends the measured distance and the image to another compatible Nocpix device.
- Replaceable 18650 battery: up to 4.5 hours of operation (measured at 22 °C with R+ on and Wi-Fi and rangefinder off). The battery fits either way round, which makes changing it in the dark easier, and the monocular can run from a 5 V power bank through the USB-C port.
- Recording, app and build: photo and video with sound on 32 GB of internal memory; with Wi-Fi and the NOCPIX app it streams the live image to a phone, controls the device, customises the buttons and updates the firmware. IP67 rated, works from −20 °C to +50 °C and has silent buttons.
Why choose this model?
The LUMI L35R is the most accessible way to get a rangefinder in the LUMI series: it has the sensor, objective, field of view and magnification of the L35, plus the 800 m laser, ballistic calculation and N-LINK, for 40 g more (375 g against 335 g) and 4 mm more length.
The 4x base magnification and 7.5° × 5.7° field favour observation at medium and long range. For more detail and a wider field with the same rangefinder, there is the H35R with its 640×512 sensor.

How to choose
The LUMI series has four models without a rangefinder and two with one, all sharing the same display, eyepiece and battery. The P13 (256×192, 13 mm) and L19 (384×288, 19 mm) start at 2x and have a wide field of view, for short distances. The L35 (384×288, 35 mm) starts at 4x and detects up to 1800 m. The H35 (640×512, 35 mm) combines a wide field with more detail. The L35R and H35R are the L35 and H35 with a laser rangefinder up to 800 m and ballistic calculation. Rule of thumb: more pixels give more detail when zooming, and a longer objective gives more range but a narrower field of view.
Frequently asked questions
At what distance does the LUMI L35R detect an animal?
The manufacturer states 1800 m for a 1.7 × 0.5 m target. Detection means seeing that there is a heat source; recognising and identifying the animal requires much shorter distances.
What battery does the LUMI L35R use?
A replaceable 18650 battery, with up to 4.5 hours per charge at 22 °C. It fits either way round, and the monocular also runs from a 5 V power bank through the USB-C port.
How far does the LUMI L35R rangefinder measure?
Up to 800 m, with a Class 1 laser, in continuous or single ranging mode. With ballistic calculation switched on, a single measurement also shows the recommended point of impact.
Does the LUMI L35R record photo and video?
Yes. It records photo and video with sound on 32 GB of internal memory. Files are copied to a computer over the USB-C cable, where the monocular shows up as a storage drive.
