Bohning Seal-Tite is a silicone based bow string wax, suitable for strings and cables of synthetic fibre on compound bows, recurves and longbows. The manufacturer also indicates it for crossbow equipment.

It repels water and keeps moisture out of the fibres, reduces the friction and abrasion of the string against cables, wheels and cams and helps to stop the braid fraying or drying out. It stays tacky enough to hold the strands together in any weather, without hardening or freezing.

  • Also usable on nock shafts

Application: first clean the string with a soft cloth, because waxing over dirt pushes it into the braid; then run the stick along the string and the cables, including the served areas, and work the wax with thumb and forefinger from end to end. Wipe off the excess with a cloth.
