The Avalon recurve bow stringer is used to put the string on and take it off without forcing the limbs sideways, which is the usual way of twisting or cracking them.
One end is a pocket that fits over the tip of the lower limb; the other is a loop with a rubber pad sewn on the inside, which grips the upper limb while the strap is under tension.
The strap is flat and wide, so it does not roll up or tie itself in knots inside the bag. Use is straightforward: you stand on the strap, pull the riser upwards and let the string slide into the limb grooves.
