The Egertec target pins are large-headed nails used to hold the paper target to the shooting stand.

The large head is what does the work: it spreads the pressure over the paper and stops the sheet tearing around the hole. According to the manufacturer, they work both on foam targets and on straw targets (boss).

They are sold per unit, so you can order only the quantity you need and replace the ones you lose or bend. The package does not include the paper target or the stand.

When fitting them, the pin is pushed in through the corner of the sheet, angled slightly downwards, so that the paper is stretched against the face of the stand: a wrinkled target makes the impacts harder to read and comes loose at the first gust of wind.
