Nocpix ACE 2 S60R thermal riflescope: 12 mK 1280×1024 sensor, 60 mm F1.0 objective, 2x to 28x magnification, 25.6 × 20.5 m field at 100 m, detection up to 3100 m and laser rangefinder up to 1200 m. The flagship of the ACE 2 series.

The Nocpix ACE 2 S60R thermal riflescope belongs to the ACE 2 series, the new generation of Nocpix flagship thermal riflescopes. It is the flagship of the series: a 1280×1024 sensor with ≤ 12 mK NETD, a 60 mm F1.0 objective lens, 2x to 28x magnification, a 25.6 × 20.5 m field at 100 m, detection up to 3100 m and a laser rangefinder up to 1200 m.

Features

  • 1280×1024 sensor at 12 µm with ≤ 12 mK NETD: Nocpix in-house VOx detector at 30/60 Hz, with the R+ 2.0 algorithm and shutterless imaging. A sensitivity of 12 mK separates the animal from the background better on damp or low-contrast nights.
  • 60 mm F1.0 objective lens: 14.7° × 11.7° field of view (25.6 × 20.5 m at 100 m) and detection up to 3100 m according to the manufacturer (1.7 × 0.5 m target). Focus is set with the central wheel, without leaving the shooting position.
  • Ocular Zoom 2.0: hybrid zoom that combines optical magnification in the eyepiece (1x to 2x) with electronic zoom, 2x to 28x in total, while keeping reticle accuracy. 60 mm eye relief and a 10 mm exit pupil for comfortable viewing.
  • 1.03-inch 2560×2560 AMOLED display: −5 to +4 dioptre adjustment and Dual Clarity Mode: “Motion” for smooth images of fast targets and “Still” to bring out detail when identifying the animal.
  • LRF 2.0 up to 1200 m (±1 m, Class 1) and ballistics 2.0: the manufacturer states 57% faster ranging in difficult conditions; the ballistic calculation takes distance, angle, wind drift and environmental factors into account to show the aiming point.
  • Tracking function: with the rangefinder and the electronic compass, one measurement stores the target position; the Nocpix app shows the distance and bearing to the game so you can find it after the shot.
  • Two batteries: a 3650 mAh built-in battery and a replaceable 3650 mAh 18650 that can be inserted without regard to polarity, for up to 7 hours at 22 °C.
  • Magnesium alloy body: 980 g, IP67 protection, operation from −20 °C to +50 °C and recoil resistance up to 7000 J.
  • Recording and app: photo and video on 64 GB, recoil-activated video (RAV), picture-in-picture (PIP) and 5 GHz Wi-Fi up to 20 MB/s with the Nocpix app. Customisable buttons, up to 8 profiles and security updates supported by the manufacturer until 30 December 2029.

Why choose this model?

The ACE 2 S60R has a 1280×1024 sensor, four times the pixels of a 640×512. With the 60 mm lens it combines the widest field in the series (25.6 × 20.5 m at 100 m), the longest detection (3100 m) and the highest magnification (up to 28x): you observe close with a wide field and zoom far without losing as much detail.

It is the scope for those who want the best of the ACE 2 series and accept 980 g and 7 hours of battery life, against 8 hours on the 640×512 models.

How to choose

The ACE 2 series has three models, all with ≤ 12 mK NETD, a 1200 m rangefinder, a 2560×2560 display, 64 GB and IP67. The H35R (640×512, 35 mm, 850 g) has a wide field for short and medium distances. The H50R (640×512, 50 mm, 920 g) trades field for reach: detection up to 2600 m and 3x to 24x magnification. The S60R (1280×1024, 60 mm, 980 g) combines the widest field, detection up to 3100 m and magnification up to 28x, with 7 hours of battery life instead of 8.

Frequently asked questions

What mount does the ACE 2 S60R need?
The package contents published by the manufacturer do not include a mount. Check the right mount for your rifle rail before ordering.

Can the ACE 2 S60R handle calibres such as .308 Win or .338 Lapua?
Yes. The manufacturer states recoil resistance up to 7000 J and confirms that the ACE 2 can be used with .308 Win or .338 Lapua.

What batteries does it use and how long does it last?
It has a 3650 mAh built-in battery and a replaceable 3650 mAh 18650, which goes in without regard to polarity. It runs for up to 7 hours at 22 °C; two 18650 batteries and a charger come in the box.

Can I use digital zoom only?
Yes. Just switch off hybrid zoom in the custom menu; electronic zoom keeps working.

At what distance does the ACE 2 S60R detect an animal?
The manufacturer states 3100 m for a 1.7 × 0.5 m target. Detection means seeing that there is a heat source; recognising and identifying the animal requires much shorter distances.
