GUIDE THERMAL & NIGHT VISION RIFLESCOPE TU650MS APEX VISION
Guide TU650MS multispectral riflescope (TU Muo 3.0, APEX VISION): 15 mK 640×512 thermal channel with a 50 mm objective lens and a 1920×1080 CMOS digital channel for day and night, laser rangefinder up to 1500 m and IR illuminator included.
The Guide TU650MS thermal and night vision riflescope has two imaging channels in one body: a 640×512 thermal channel with 15 mK NETD and a 50 mm F0.9 objective lens, and a 1920×1080 CMOS digital channel with a 35 mm objective lens, for observing by day, at night and in low light. It is part of the TU Muo 3.0 series of the APEX VISION range and adds a laser rangefinder up to 1500 m.
Features
- Dual vision, thermal and digital: the thermal channel detects the animal's heat; the CMOS channel shows the visible image with day, night and low-light modes. The manufacturer presents it for use at any hour and in any weather.
- Thermal channel with 50 mm F0.9 objective lens: 640×512 VOx sensor at 12 μm, 8.8° × 7.0° field (15 × 12 m at 100 m), 3.7x to 29.6x magnification and a stated detection range of up to 2600 m.
- Digital channel with 35 mm F4.0 objective lens: 1920×1080 CMOS sensor at 2.9 μm, 6.4° × 5.1° field (11 × 9 m at 100 m), 5.1x to 81.6x magnification and detection up to 330 m.
- IR illuminator in the box: supplied with its mounting bracket, to boost the digital channel image at night.
- Laser rangefinder up to 1500 m (1630 yards): more range than the 1200 m rangefinder of the TU Pro 3.0 series.
- 1.03-inch QHD AMOLED display (2560×2560): 60 mm eye relief, −5 to +5 dioptre adjustment and seven thermal palettes.
- Battery life and memory: up to 12 hours with two built-in 18650s and one external 18650; 256 GB for photo and video with sound.
- Rugged: IP68, impacts up to 6000 J, −20 °C to 50 °C, shutterless 3.0 architecture during observation, 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Why choose this model?
The TU650MS is for those who want a single scope for day and night. The thermal channel finds the animal by its heat; the digital channel shows the visible image, with outlines and details that thermal imaging cannot give, and has a night mode and IR illuminator for when light runs out.
Compared with the TU650LS, with the same thermal sensor and the same 50 mm lens, it gains the digital channel and a 1500 m rangefinder, at the cost of weight (1013 g against 935 g) and two hours of battery life (12 against 14). Compared with the TU1260MS, it has a 640×512 thermal sensor instead of 1280×1024, but is 132 g lighter and lasts 3 hours longer.

How to choose
A thermal-only scope is lighter and lasts longer; a multispectral one adds the visible image, useful for observing by day and for seeing details of shape. In the TU Muo 3.0 series, the TU650MS uses the 640×512 thermal sensor with a 50 mm lens; the TU1260MS steps up to 1280×1024 with a 60 mm lens and a wider field, but weighs 1145 g and lasts 9 hours. The digital channel, the display and the rangefinder are the same on both.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Guide TU650MS work in daylight?
Yes. As well as the thermal channel, it has a 1920×1080 CMOS digital channel with day mode, night mode and low-light mode.
What is the IR illuminator in the box for?
It lights the scene with infrared for the digital night vision channel; it comes with a bracket to attach it.
What is the rangefinder's range?
Up to 1500 m (1630 yards), according to the manufacturer.
What is the difference between the TU650MS and the TU650LS?
Both have a 640×512 thermal sensor and a 50 mm lens. The TU650MS adds the digital channel, the IR illuminator and a rangefinder up to 1500 m; the TU650LS has only the thermal channel and a rangefinder up to 1200 m, weighs 935 g and lasts up to 14 hours.
