HIKMICRO THUNDER TX70CL 4.0 THERMAL CLIP-ON WITH LRF
The top of the Thunder 4.0 series: thermal clip-on with a 1280×1024, 12 µm sensor, NETD below 12 mK, a 70 mm F1.3 lens and a laser rangefinder up to 1200 m. Detection up to 3500 m with a wide 22.4 m field of view at 100 m. It fits in front of your day scope (1× to 15×) for night hunting.
The Hikmicro Thunder TX70CL 4.0 is the top model of the Thunder 4.0 thermal clip-ons. It goes in front of the objective of the day scope you already use, and you then see the thermal image through it, for night hunting, without removing the scope from the rifle or changing its magnification. The 1280×1024 sensor has four times as many pixels as a 640×512 one, which makes it possible to pair a 70 mm lens, with detection up to 3500 m, with a wide 12.8° × 10.3° field of view (22.4 m at 100 m). It suits hunters who want to see far without losing sight of what surrounds the animal. With an eyepiece, sold separately, it also works as a thermal monocular.
Features
- 1280×1024, 12 µm sensor: uncooled array at 50 Hz, with NETD below 12 mK for a highly detailed image.
- 70 mm F1.3 lens: detection up to 3500 m and a 12.8° × 10.3° field of view (22.4 m × 18 m at 100 m).
- Laser rangefinder in the lens: 905 nm, class 1 laser, from 10 to 1200 m; accuracy of ±1 m below 400 m and ±0.3 m above.
- For scopes up to 15×: 1× magnification in clip-on mode; the manufacturer recommends day scopes from 1× to 15×.
- 0.49-inch AMOLED display: 1920×1080, adaptive brightness and six palettes (Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, red and green monochrome).
- Image Pro 4.0, HSIS and Sync Pro: updated image processing, shutterless image and real-time response.
- 1 MOA precision: stated by the manufacturer, with image calibration and 5 zeroing profiles.
- 6000 J resistance: body and lens cover in magnesium alloy, IP67, from -30 °C to +50 °C.

Frequently asked questions
TX70CL or TQ50CL 4.0? The TX70CL has a 1280×1024 sensor and a 70 mm lens: it sees further (3500 m versus 2600 m) and, at the same time, has a much wider field of view (22.4 m versus 15.4 m at 100 m). The TQ50CL is shorter and lighter and has one more hour of runtime.
Do I need to re-zero the rifle? The manufacturer states a guaranteed 1 MOA precision with the clip-on fitted. If fine-tuning is needed, it has image calibration and 5 profiles.
How long does the battery last? At least 5 hours at 25 °C with the rangefinder on and the hotspot off. Two batteries come in the package, according to the distributor.
Is the scope adapter included? It is not on the package list. It is chosen according to the objective diameter of your day scope.
Can I use it as a monocular? Yes, with the dedicated eyepiece, sold separately; in monocular mode magnification ranges from 2.4× to 19.2×.
